宜蘭 朝陽與故事 A tale in Yilan Chaoyang

美麗的海岸與山脈，無需拔山涉水，就在台灣。
宜蘭的南澳，並非人們遊歷宜蘭第一個想到的地方。
而與南澳比鄰，代表漢人聚落最尾端的蘇澳鎮朝陽里更是鮮為人知。
正因為如此，此處至今還保留著不可思議的美景以及一個浪漫的故事：

英國探險家荷恩(James Horn)曾到達此地屯墾，他不僅取得原住民的信任，娶了部落頭目的女兒為妻，還建立大南澳國。然而，荷恩的成就引起各方政府眼紅，一番明爭暗鬥後，身為冒險者的荷恩竟因溺斃生亡。

This beautiful scenery was in Chaoyang Yilan.
Chaoyang is never a famous tourist spot, but that's the reason why the coast can be so splendid. 
Also, there's a romantic story that took place on this coast,

British explorer - James Horn traveled here in 1869. 
At first, he was searching for the survivors of a boat accident (the Rover).
However, he became familiar with the natives who lived here.
He got married with the daughter of a tribe's leader and built a kingdom along the coast.
Governments became jealous of his accomplishment.
Strangely enough, Horn later died because of drowning.
